With the Digital Recording Box (DRB) you can record any kind of VGA signal (up to 1600x1200 pixels) in lossless quality and in its original resolution.
In addition, video and sound signals can be recorded synchronised. The stand alone recorder can be controlled remotely and can be used for any kind of training and simulation scenario or can run as a documentation tool 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Please download the DivX codec (http://www.divx.com/divx/download/) to play the DivX encoded movie and the PICVideo
M-JPEG codec (http://www.pegasusimaging.com/cgi-bin/download2NS.cgi?PICVIDU3) for the other movies.

In most cases we use one of the mentioned codecs for teh recording but we can use any other codec as well if there are special requirements.

Recording options:

One VGA signal

The simplest situation: The DRB records one VGA signal.

Several synchronized VGA signals

If you want to record several VGA signals, you just need several DRBs that are connected to the Intra- or Internet. All VGA signals are recorded synchronized to ensure a correct timing of the recordings.

VGA signal IP camera streams

The DRB can also record streams of network IP cameras. In this example, two video streams and one VGA signal are recorded and synchronized.
Each signal is recorded as an independent file. But all the files are synchronized in time for a perfect replay.

VGA signal and a FireWire signal

This is the standard configuration.
One VGA signal and a video/audio signal from a DV-Camera are recorded.
The VGA signal and the video signal are recorded as two separated but synchronized video files.
You can play back the synchronized files with our free Player software or each single file with any standard video player.

VGA signal and audio only

Sometimes it is not required (or not allowed) to record the participant on video.
In this case, you can connect a standard microphone to the DRB and record just the voice and the VGA signal.
With this configuration, only one video is created, that contains the VGA recording and the sound.
You can watch the file with a standard video player.

Of course it is also possible to record just the VGA signal.
Controlling options:
There are various possibilities, how the Digital Recording Box can be operated.

Client or Browser in a network

With our small client software or even a Web browser the DRB can be operated via a TCP/IP connection.
You can control the source signals and the recording.
Additionally the recorded files can be transferred to the second computer.

PDA via Bluetooth®

With a Pocket PC based PDA you can control the source signals and the recording.
After the recording, a CD/DVD can be burned with the media files.

Standard computer

Last but nor least you can use the device as a standard computer.
